Fatima Sana Shaikh Reacts to Link-Up Rumours with Aamir Khan: I Do Not Feel the Need to Explain Anymore

Fatima Sana Shaikh paired up with Aamir Khan for two films back to back - Dangal and Thugs of Hindostan. Eyebrows were raised as to why the superstar was favouring this new girl on the block. You know, the regular colony ki aunty attitude that gossiper mongers have in the industry. The actress after remaining silent on the matter for the longest time has finally opened up on the linkup rumours with Aamir Khan. She brushes such rumours off by saying that he learnt not to be bothered with it, in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama. “It’s very weird. My mother keeps on watching TV and the other day she showed me ‘Your photo has come’ and I was like ‘Read the headline to know what’s written.’ I used to get disturbed and I felt like I should explain myself," Fatima recalled.

The actress added, "If someone accuses you of something, the first instinct is to come out and tell, ‘Listen, why do you think it is like this?’ If you are an aggressive person, you will attack. If you are a submissive person, even then you will talk about it. But, now, I do not feel the need to explain because I feel no matter what you do, people will talk about you. On the work front, Fatima's last outing as Zafira in Thugs of Hindostan received a mixed response from the critics. The movie itself failed to work commercially. She will be next seen in Anurag Basu's next untitled venture, in which she has been cast opposite Rajkummar Rao.
