The makers in tinsel town have created some beautiful numbers dedicated to 'dads'. Some are fun, others are sentimental. However, these are the gems that often lights up the memories of dad if watching or listening to it. Below are some such tracks dedicated to fathers, which showed the various shades of the relationship between a dad and his child.
Papa Kehte Hai (Qayamat se Qayamat Tak)- Forget his love-story with Juhi, but Aamir was more of rage for this song! Every teen kid in the 90s could relate to the song, especially if they had dreams far from their papa's imagination!
Hanikarak Bapu (Dangal)- The same man who once sang 'papa kehte hai' at the top of his voice turned into a strict father, years later. Probably he understood what his papa meant then! The stern behaviour of a dad towards his kids is well-portrayed in this track.
The Journey Song (Piku)- The track is more than just roads and travel. In fact, it is this loving relationship between the daughter and her father which in the first place brings them on board for this journey. The scenes subtly show a daughter's care for her slightly stubborn but loving father throughout.
Dilbaro (Raazi)- The latest emotional addition to the teary-eyed father-daughter relation is this Gulzar written song. Wedding and fathers crying, is something Bollywood has often toyed upon. However, Alia Bhatt's this track hits the right chords.
Tujhse Naraaz Nahin Zindagi (Masoom)- We cannot really skip this song if we are talking about the portrayal of father-son connection. The sad yet beautiful song that shows bonding with between Naseeruddin Shah as dad and his illegitimate child, is for keeps.
