Farhan Akhtar Urges Parents to be More Careful After Aunt Daisy Irani's Shocking Revelation of Being Raped as a Child

We can't just get over the news article where veteran actress, Daisy Irani, revealed that she was raped, when she was just six years old, by someone she looked up as a guardian. She had opened up about this scary part of her life in an interview to Mumbai Mirror. Through the same interview, she also highlighted how her mother would insist on putting her in the spotlight by any means possible. Daisy Irani was a popular child artiste in '50s, having appeared in movies like Naya Daur, Boot Polish and Jaagte Raho.
These revelations have shocked the industry, and none more than Farhan Akhtar, who also happened to be her nephew (Farhan is Daisy's sister Honey Irani's son). Being the initiator of the MARD campaign to protect crimes against women, Farhan was aghast on reading the interview and expressed his shock on Twitter. He also warned the parents who wants to make stars out of their little kids to be more careful with their lives, while also mentioning that he was proud of his aunt for speaking up.

Coming back to the interview, Daisy had said, "The man who did this was supposed to be my guardian. He accompanied me to a film shoot in Madras. One night in the hotel room he violated me, hit me with a belt and warned me that he would kill me if I ever told anyone about what had happened." She had revealed that she failed to have the courage to reveal her trauma to her mother, who only came to know about it when she was 15.
Daisy also spoke about another incident when producer Mallickchand Kochar groped her. She was alone at his studio, he tried to touch her but Daisy back then made it into a hilarious moment by taking out her sponge paddings and handing it to him.
Daisy Irani was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year.
