Just three days ago we had shared a piece of information regarding the controversial song of Fanney Khan going by the title Mere Achche Din Kab Ayenge.  But turns out the makers have included the song, without any variations as specified to them. Well, considering the title of the song and we're guessing even the contents may have caused an opposition from political jingoists. The makers decided to cut off the song as to avoid any negative controversy that the song might attract.

A source had told Spotboye.com, "After the first version came out, a lot of people online used it to attack the Central Government and question Modi on his promise of achche din. The song was getting politicised needlessly. The producers also got a few calls from high places, after which they decided to release the new version. They are even contemplating pulling down the original song."

But turns out the song is still prevalent in the movie! That's right. It's still a part of the movie and has not been altered, as communicated by the makers. Our reviewer, who is currently watching the film, gave us this heads up about the song. We wonder what propelled the producers to go ahead with the song despite the calls they received for the song's very presence. The song definitely deserves to be part of the film as it spells a very endearing dream of a cab driver who aims for the stars.

You can check out the video of the song here:

Mere Achche Din Kab Ayenge is a simple song about the story of a simple cab driver, Fanney Khan, who has big aspirations for his daughter. Played by Anil Kapoor, the film also stars Rajkummar Rao and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in pivotal roles. Stay tuned to this space for the full review of the film!
