Fanney Khan Song Badan Pe Sitare: Anil Kapoor's Tribute to the Late Mohammed Rafi is a Delight to Watch - Video Alert
Directed by Atul Manjrekar, Fanney Khan is scheduled to release on August 3.
If you are not aware of this, Sonu Nigam is a huge fan of one of Indian cinema's legendary singers, the late Mohammed Rafi. In the movie, Fanney Khan, Anil Kapoor's titular character is also a Rafi fan, who long desires to be a singer like him (tough luck in these times of whisky, baby, daaru, desi songs!). So it is only apt that Sonu Nigam has to croon that one song in the movie which pays a tribute to the legendary singer.
So the makers of Fanney Khan have composer Amit Trivedi recreate the classic Badan Pe Sitare song from the 1969 film Prince, starring the late Shammi Kapoor and Vyjayanthimala. Sonu Nigam recreates the mood for the song with his brilliant callback singing to Mohammed Rafi. Anil Kapoor looks to be having an enjoyable time recreating Shammi Kapoor's moves for Badan pe Sitare. His youthful enthusiasm, along with Sonu's singing, is what makes Badan pe Sitare such a delight to watch.

Fanney Khan is the official remake of the Spanish film Everybody's Famous. The movie is about how Kapoor's character kidnaps a rockstar to convince her to make a star out of his daughter. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the rockstar, while Rajkummar Rao plays his friend, who is complicit in the kidnapping.
Directed by Atul Manjrekar, Fanney Khan is scheduled to release on August 3.
