Kapil Sharma has gone through a lot (most of which was a part of his own karmic debt, even Kapil would agree).  After showcasing his ugly arrogant side in real life, Kapil took his success for granted.  A 12 day long rehab and a flurry of apologies later, the man  has bounced back with a new show titled Family Time With Kapil Sharma. Kudos to the dude for the same!

Mind you, it's not easy to get your both professional and personal life back on track after hitting the proverbial purple patch of sorts. But Sharma showed remarkable courage and conviction to come up with a new show to regain his lost glory as indeed his credibility both as a person as well as a performer you would want to ride your money on!

Reasons were many for us to look forward to Kapili's new show. But in the end, as we dreaded, the latest outing looked like the old wine served in a new bottle! And the bottle is not even fancy or particularly appetizing to look at! Here are the list of things that have not exactly turned in Kapil's favour.

From the ever growing girth to the absence of neck, Sharma leaves no stone unturned yet gain to show how to get straight into the business of body shaming to evoke laughs.

And then you have sexism showcased unabashedly (and more annoyingly, unimaginatively!). Neha Pendsa is the new introduction on the show. While she is operating in her capacity as a pretty host, Kapil gets into his usual mode of being an incorrigible flirt.  Sharma cracks the same old jokes on poverty as Chandan Prabhakar makes his presence felt. Prabhakar looked entertaining as he had some fresh content to offer.

The need for much desired for celeb quotient was fulfilled by Ajay Devgn, who appeared on the show to promote his movie Raid.  Devgn's presence seemed like the only relief to the otherwise boring gags that kept unrolling. And suddenly, Devgn disappeared and Sharma struggled to find fresh content to keep the show going!

As for the game part of the new show, we get some really innovative stuff to witness and relish (pun intended!). The participants were are asked to burst balloons by employing their butt! at which point we decided to use the remote and our grey matter to change the channel! This move made the family happy, for sure!
