The reprise version of Tareefan from Veere Di Wedding is out and it's definitely gonna have you hooked! Tareefan is an upbeat, party number and Lisa Mishra has added her own charm to this number making it into a beautiful track! Now in case you're wondering who Lisa is, she is a YouTuber who has been putting up videos on YouTube since 11 years. She happened to share the cover for Tareefan and Let Me Love You which became an instant rage on the internet!

Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor were among the first ones to notice and they were so fond of Lisa's version of the song that they shared it on their social media handles! And voila! Rhea Kapoor Karan Mehta, who has composed the song along with Badshah, approached Lisa and asked her to record the reprise version of it! Isn't that so cool?

In an EXCLUSIVE interview with LatestLY, Lisa talks about how Tareefan reprise version actually happened, her Bollywood aspirations and much more.

Firstly, tell us how did Rhea get in touch with you and what was your first reaction after meeting her and the Veeres?

Rhea reached out to me via Instagram DM after seeing the video. Meeting her was amazing because she and her sister made me feel right at home. They are both so warm and welcoming and treated me like family. The rest of the cast were all so fun and energetic. I can’t lie, though – I definitely had a fangirl moment when Kareena Kapoor walked into the room. I had to stop myself from reciting lines from K3G!

After putting up videos on YouTube for 11 years, how does it finally feel to bag a project that has stars like Sonam and Kareena?

I can’t describe the feeling. It’s like having an out of body experience – can this really be my life? This can’t be happening! I constantly have to pinch myself that I am in the company of people I’ve long admired and whose work is a constant source of inspiration.

Who among Sonam, Kareena, Swara and Shikha's characters do you relate to the most and why?

I think I can most relate to Sonam’s character. Sweet on the outside and spicy when you get to know her!

Are you open to more Bollywood projects now that Tareefan happened?

Of course! Music – be it singing, writing, playing the guitar – is my lifeblood. It’s the thing that has sustained me my whole life. I’d love to keep working on Bollywood songs.

Which is that one Bollywood celebrity you'd love to sing for?

I’d love to sing for Deepika. She’s an incredible advocate for mental health awareness and has brought what has long been a taboo topic to the forefront. She’s totally a hero of mine.

Finally, what's your take on the trailer of Veere Di Wedding?

I love the trailer! I love the idea of reimagining buddy comedies and having them picturized against an all-female cast. The interactions, the jokes, the experiences mirror the lives of a lot of millennial women. To have our stories told in such a fresh, relatable and innovative way is a step ahead for Bollywood.
