Rhea Chakraborty has opened up about her time in jail, describing it as a period of intense survival following Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Reflecting on the experience, she noted that each day felt exceptionally long and challenging.
Rhea Chakraborty has been outspoken about her life before and after the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput. During a recent podcast with Karishma Mehta, the actress opened up about her experiences in jail. She described it as a unique world, starkly different from society. “Jail is actually a very different world because there’s no society in jail. There is a weird sense of equality. Everyone is a number, not a person. You are a UT number when you are in under-trial prison… It’s a strange world, a very evolved crowd, just human emotion at its rawest. It’s about survival. Every single day was about surviving. Each day feels like a year because time seems to stand still,” she shared. “My time in there was actually really difficult in the first two weeks to kind of adjust to this situation because no one ever believes that they are going to jail. Once you are in there, it takes a long time to understand that this has happened. There is a deep depression and darkness that I obviously experienced…You are thinking negative thoughts now. I've always been a very bubbly, positive person, like delusionally optimistic,” she recalled.
Rhea Chakraborty, who hosts the podcast Chapter 2, even shares her experiences and insights with her guests. Her journey, from the challenging times she faced to her present situation, has been a subject of intense public curiosity and marked by notable changes.
