English Vinglish Actress Sujata Kumar Dies of Cancer at 53

Bollywood actress Sujata Kumar, popularly known for her role in English Vinglish has passed away. She was 53. The actress died at 11.29 pm, last night as she succumbed to cancer. It is indeed shocking to see so many of them passing away at such an early age. Sujata's English Vinglish co-star Sridevi, who made her comeback with the Gauri Shinde movie, also died earlier this year.

Post English Vinglish, Sujata went on to do a couple of other films like Raanjhanaa and Gori Tere Pyar Mein. She was also a part of Anil Kapoor's TV show titled 24 on Colors.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthy took to Facebook to announce the demise of Sujata. "Our beloved Sujata Kumar has passed away and moved on to a better place leaving us with an umimaginable void. She left us an hour ago at 11.26 pm on the 19th of august 2018..Life can never be the same again," reads her post. The funeral ceremony will be held today. "We are bidding our last farewell to Sujata Kumar at Juhu Crematorium, Vile Parle west, near Pavan Hans today 20th august 2018 at 11 am," Suchitra added further.
