Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor are going to be sharing the screen space for the first time and we're quite excited to see how the collaboration has turned out to be. The trailer of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is finally out and all that we can say is, we are quite thrilled to see the film. Like reported earlier, the film is an unusual love story which will have Sonam play the role of a lesbian. Even though in India, gay and lesbian marriages have been legalised now, there is a certain section that is still unaccepting of same- sex marriage/ relationships. The film will chronicle the journey of a Sonam's character, whose family is keen on having her married to a guy of their choice without knowing her truth or asking her about her preference. Rajkummar Rao's character falls in love with Sonam's right from their childhood until he discovers her "truth". What happens next? Watch the trailer to know...

The trailer gives out major details about the plot of the film. Towards the end, the trailer shows two girls holding each other's hands and that speaks volumes about the storyline of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.
In an interview earlier, Sonam had explained how despite being approached to do several films with her dad, she was not sure about it. "I was very skeptical to do a film with my father. We have been approached for films several times. I said yes to Shelly Chopra (director) as I loved the story and I felt this is the film that dad and I should do together. I was enthusiastic about the film. I trusted the director, she was clear about the film," she said. "I never found authenticity or idealism in any of the other films. I felt nobody besides me and my father (were apt) to do ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’. We are glad to know that we were the first choice of the director," she added. Exclusive!
