With the title taken out of a popular song in 1942: A Love Story, it is an interesting twist to the movie's main theme - how a family reacts to a daughter's lesbian love story. Sonam Kapoor becomes the first mainstream actress to take on such a role, and deserves the credits for that guts. Anil Kapoor, her father, is also playing the same role in this movie too.
