Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, scheduled to release on February 1, is a special film for so many reasons. The movie brings the real-life father-daughter duo of Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor on screen for the first time. It also reunites Anil Kapoor with one of his popular co-stars Juhi Chawla, while Rajkummar Rao is also playing a parallel lead. Above all, it would be the first mainstream Hindi movie to address a same-sex love story, through Sonam Kapoor's character. The trailers (and slyly, the title too, inspired from a song from 1942: A Love Story) had hinted at it. However, they never went all out to showcase the lesbian themes in the film. The makers preferred that the audience would rather watch the film in theatre to get to know what's the real story. However, a couple of days before the release of the film, entertainment portal PINKVILLA revealed a new poster that shows Sonam Kapoor's character hugging a girl, whose face isn't seen properly. The caption reads loudly, 'SECRET', hinting at the secret love story. There is also the pinkish hue in the poster
As per reports, South actress Regina Cassandra is playing Sonam's love interest in the film. Later it was revealed that the move was done, after he was accused by his assistant of sexual harassment.
