Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor's first film together Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga hasn't managed to make an impact at the box office despite opening to good reviews. The unusual love story co-starring Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla, and south actress Regina Cassandra released on February 1 and got off to a dull start despite creating good buzz before the release. Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, the film is about the same-sex love story and therefore was being touted as a surprise package of this year. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures noting,"#EkLadkiKoDekhaTohAisaLaga finds limited patronage... Select urban centres contributed to the revenue... Is dull beyond metros... Fri 3.30 cr, Sat 4.65 cr, Sun 5.58 cr, Mon 1.90 cr, Tue 1.71 cr, Wed 1.37 cr, Thu 1.17 cr. Total: ₹ 19.68 cr. India biz. #ELKDTAL."

Further, a report in Boxofficeindia stated, "The film had a poor start and the game was up on Friday evening itself as it did not show the evening growth that the smaller films do if they are going to have huge weekend growth. The business was dull across all circuits in India with Delhi / UP being the circuit that outperformed a little. This was mainly due to high-end multiplexes in Delhi NCR."

While Sonam's latest release has clearly tanked at the BO, two other Bollywood films are currently performing well at the ticket windows - namely Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Uri - The Surgical Strike Box Office Collection Day 26: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Is Heading Towards Rs 300 Crore Club Worldwide.
