Eid al-Adha which is also referred as Bakri Eid is known as the Festival of Sacrifice. This auspicious festival is celebrated by Muslims around the world. This festival reflects how Ibrahim willing agreed to honour and obey God’s command, by sacrificing his son. But before that act could happen, God provided Ibrahim with a lamb to sacrifice instead. On each Eid al-Adha the ritual of sacrificing a lamb is followed and it is divided into three parts. The share is given to the poor, then a part of it is kept for household members and the third part is given to near and dear ones.
