Salman Khan and marriage are two things that have every possibility of not meeting in this lifetime, despite his die-hard fans' expectations. But there was a time when Salman could have got married much early in his life in the '90s and there were even cards printed. That was all in the past now. Salman is an eternal bachelor, even though he was linked to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Iulia Vantur. But don't expect him to marry any time soon.

So what happened two decades back? Salman Khan got to relive one of the most painful memories of his life on his TV show, Dus Ka Dum. Tonight's episode had Sonakshi Sinha as the guest, promoting her upcoming film, Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi. During a segment on the show, when they talked about marriages, we could see that Salman got emotional on the issue.

Salman Khan then talked about how he once nearly got married and even the wedding cards were printed. But the girl backed out at the last minute and the marriage never happened. Ever for Salman. Sonakshi also revealed that she knew the story.

What Salman Khan didn't tell us that he was talking about getting married to former girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani. As per Salman’s biography Being Salman written by Jasim Khan, they were to get married on May 27, 1994. However, Sangeeta backed out of the marriage. The reason that was given that she found out Salman was carrying an affair behind her back (with his future girlfriend, Somy Ali).

Well, like we said, Salman Khan and marriages don't go hand-in-hand!
