Durga Puja, also called Durgotsava, or Agamani, is the Hindu festival that celebrates Goddess Durga. Devotees turn up to worship the goddess in large amounts and enjoy pandal hopping during the festival. Also called Durga Pujo, it celebrates the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil demon of Mahishasura. The festival which is being celebrated from October 4 to October 8 this year has already begun with much fervour. Celebrities too have been spotted pandal hopping.
