Dreamgirl is making the most of no-competition at the theatres. It anyway secured the love of the audience soon upon its release and they haven't stopped watching it even in its third weekend. In fact, the third Friday numbers of Rs 3.40 crore is more than what it earned on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in its second week. That made us wonder if Dreamgirl will surpass Badhaai Ho to become Ayushmann Khurrana's biggest hit. Dreamgirl Beats Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety to become Nushrat Bharucha’s Biggest Hit Ever!
Now Badhaai Ho in its lifetime had earned Rs 137.61 crore. We know it could be a bit difficult for Dreamgirl to reach that stage easily because War is releasing on October 2. A lot is expected of this Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan face-off. It's been a while since a big budget, glossy and stylish entertainer has hit the theatres. It is expected to make a lot of money at the box office and that's why Dreamgirl might feel the heat.
#DreamGirl maintains a strong grip... Biz on [third] Fri is higher than [second] Tue, Wed and Thu... [Week 3] Fri 3.40 cr. Total: ₹ 114.20 cr. #India biz.

But if you look at the way Dreamgirl performed at the box office, it may not be a huge ask. It reached the Rs 100 crore mark in 11 days whereas Badhaai Ho took 17 days. Also, it showed better trending in its second week than the 2018 entertainer.
#DreamGirl continues to win hearts, woo BO... Trends better than #BadhaaiHo - #AyushmannKhurrana's biggest hit - in Week 2... [Week 2] Fri 5.30 cr, Sat 9.10 cr, Sun 11.05 cr, Mon 3.75 cr, Tue 3.30 cr, Wed 3.10 cr, Thu 3 cr. Total: ₹ 110.80 cr. #India biz.

#BadhaaiHo nears ₹ 100 cr mark... Will cross the magical figure in Week 3... [Week 2] Fri 3.40 cr, Sat 6.60 cr, Sun 8.15 cr, Mon 2.60 cr, Tue 2.50 cr, Wed 2.35 cr. Total: ₹ 91.70 cr. India biz.

So like we mentioned, if Dreamgirl manages to tide over War in the coming days, it could become a big win for Ayushmann Khurrana again. So fingers crossed!
