Ayushmann Khurrana's latest release, Dream Girl opened to some amazing reviews from the critics and the comedy-drama has also managed to entertain the audiences well. The film took to a flying start at the box office and seems to be continuing its amazing run. The film starring Khurrana in the role of an actor who manages to fetch work thanks to his talent of impersonating a female voice is laden with big laughs and had the audience in splits. The film's opening weekend collections are now here and they are massive. Dream Girl Box Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Comedy Drama Earns Rs 16.42 Crore on Day 2.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the film's weekend collections and wrote, "#DreamGirl runs riot at the BO... Packs a fantastic total, setting the BO on Day 2 and 3... Trends better than #Raazi [₹ 32.94 cr], #Stree [₹ 32.27 cr] and #Uri [₹ 35.73 cr]... Fri 10.05 cr, Sat 16.42 cr, Sun 18.10 cr. Total: ₹ 44.57 cr. #India biz. The film managed to cross the Rs 40 crore mark on its opening weekend and that is huge. The Ayushmann starrer will soon rake in Rs 5O Crores by Tuesday.

What's amazing is that Dream Girl has surpassed the opening weekend collections of other successful films such as the Uri: The Surgical Strike which collected Rs 35.73 crores. It has also beaten the likes of Stree which had raked in Rs 32.27 crores and Raazi which had collected 32.94 crores.

In the past couple of years, Ayushmann has become one of the most successful stars when it comes to mid-budget films and has several profitable ventures to his name now. Dream Girl is expected to go beyond his past releases such as Badhaai Ho at the India box office.
