Bollywood as a whole is changing with each passing day! There was a time in the fraternity when only masala entertainers minted a huge sum at the box office, but well, gone are those days. It's 2019 and with it, even content-driven films are getting the much-needed recognition. And the latest movie high on content and laughs is none other than, Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl. The comedy-drama, which opened to a bumper score has now finally crossed Rs 50 crore mark at the ticket window and has ringed in a total of Rs 52 crore in a four days span.

After a super opening act with Rs 10.05 crore, this Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer showed an upward trend and minted Rs 16.42 crore and Rs 18.10 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. While Monday surely saw a downfall in the money earned at the box office, but the film however balanced itself and collected a decent moolah of Rs 7.43 crore. Kudos to the team for continuing its winning streak at the box office. Dream Girl Box Office Collections: Ayushmann Khurrana's Comedy Drama Earns Rs 44.57 Crores Over the Opening Weekend.

Dealing with quite an unusual subject, Dream Girl is a film which revolves around an unemployed Karamvir Singh (Ayushmann Khurrana) who gets a job at a friendship call centre. Well, that's not it as the highlight of the movie is how he wins many masculine hearts by moonlighting as a girl named Pooja. The film is directed by Raaj Shaanilyaa and features Nushrat Bharucha as the female lead. Even stars like Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh and Vijay Raaz play key roles in the film.
