There has been a lot made in Bollywood when it comes to the topic of homosexuality. Definitely, one of the most interesting films in this lot was Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham starrer Dostana. The film was helmed by Tarun Mansukhani and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Now, as per the reports in Mumbai Mirror, Dostana 2 is soon set to go on the floors next year. However, sadly, it will NOT have Abhi, PC or John in the lead!

A source close to the development told the tabloid, “The script is currently being developed and should be locked by the end of the month. The film is expected to go on the floors early next year. Karan wants to cast two new actors in the film. There will be a girl to complete the triangle and she will be a Bollywood A-lister, but it won’t be Priyanka reprising her role.”

Well, Dostana was Dostana because of the comic performances by Junior B, Piggy Chops and the Dhoom star. Without them, we wonder how the second instalment will be taken by the fans. Let’s take this news with the pinch of a salt and wait for the cast announcement now.

On their respective work fronts, Priyanka will be next seen in The Sky Is Pink. Bachchan will be seen in Manmarziyan. On the other hand, John will be next seen in Satyameva Jayate.
