Happy New Year, a Farah Khan directorial that released in 2014, turned out to be a box office dud. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani in the lead. It was a Diwali special release and seeing the ensemble cast, the expectations were sky-high. However, it failed miserably at the ticket windows. Jr. AB happened to post a tweet in which he mentioned of getting back the band together. So is he wishing for Happy New Year sequel? No matter what it is, fans have said a big no to it already. Happy New Year was a huge let down for all fans of the film’s lead cast. Abhishek Bachchan who spotted a tempo with Nandu scribbled on it in Hind-language, took to Twitter and posted, “It’s a sign!!! @iamsrk @deepikapadukone @TheFarahKhan @bomanirani @SonuSood @bindasbhidu Time to get the band back together guys?” If you haven’t seen that tweet and the pic yet, check it out now. Abhishek Bachchan played dual role in Happy New Year - Nandu Bhide and Vicky Grover. And hence, when he saw Nandu scribbled on a tempo, looks like he couldn’t contain his excitement and asked for a reunion of the band. But fans are not impressed with this fun. Numerous comments were posted on Jr. AB’s post as soon as he shared this tweet. The comments were like, “Please we don't want 2nd part”, “Still recovering from Happy New Year, please don’t”, “Naa re baba dobara nakko re!”, “Pleaseeeee Noooooooooooooooo”, “Aae nako re baba!!! Aisa ghatiya picture fir se mat banana pls!!! nahi toh jitne fans reh gaye hain tere, woh bhi nahi rahenge”, and so on. So what are your thoughts on Happy New Year part 2?
