While she had the opportunity to direct her brother, Farhan, in her directorial debut, she had a tough time convincing the other actors to play the lead. In Rajeev Masand's latest instalment of Open Magazine, Made in Heaven actor Arjun Mathur, reveals how he was almost finalised to play the lead before Farhan stepped in.
"I’ve never told anyone this, but you know Zoya was having a lot of trouble casting the lead for that film. She went through a bunch of actors, and at one point she gave me the script and spoke about me doing it. I thought, ‘This is it. My life is going to change.’ Then Farhan got the role, and she offered me the best friend," he said while narrating the incident to Rajeev Masand. Arjun was always destined to reach new heights though the timing was a bit late. The actor was immensely praised for his role in Amazon Prime's web series and we can't wait for its next season.
