So we know Taapsee Pannu was approached to star in Mithali Raj's biopic but if her recent conversation is to go by, seems like she has already given her nod to it. The actress admirers the ace cricketer and we think she perfectly fits the bill.

After blowing your minds with her performances in Badla and Game Over recently, she's looking forward to her next releases. 'Saand ki Aankh' with Bhumi Pednekar is slated to hit the screens on Diwali and she's also in talks to star in Mithali Raj's biopic. Indian Women Cricket Team's current captain, Mithali is a star player and her achievements deserve all your attention. While a project on her life has already been announced, Taapsee may eventually come on board for it. Taapsee in her recent conversation with Mumbai Mirror revealed how exciting it is to be offered a biopic of such a noteworthy player. “I’ve never played cricket and am looking forward to the challenge," she said while confirming that she's yet to sign on the dotted lines for the same. "I've been following Mithali since she asked why women cricketers are always asked about their favourite male cricketers and not vice versa. That remark has stayed with me, as actresses, even we are first asked who our co-star is when we sign a film," she further added. Taapsee is currently looking forward to her multi-starrer, Mission Mangal that hits the screens on August 15. Starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menen - the project revolves around India's first mission to space. We certainly hope she's able to play Mithali Raj in her upcoming biopic as we can't think of a better name than Taapsee who could justify the ace cricketer so well.
