Shashank Khaitan helmed Dhadak is the official adaptation of Marathi blockbuster film ‘Sairat’. Now even though the makers pressed on the fact that it is just an ‘adaptation’ and not a ‘remake’, audience refuses to get along with new version. Well, at least, the ones who have watched the critically acclaimed Nagraj Manjule directed Sairat,  are disappointed with it. The newest bomb that the makers dropped was the remake of ‘Yad Lagla’ that shows the early romance between Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. The video surely has become a butt of jokes, despite it being shot beautifully.

It is nothing wrong with video if we go by the technicalities. However, the fact that it has taken away all the rawness and the innocence from the original video has got Twitterati fuming. Another aspect that got the fans enraged was the lyrics. Again, nothing wrong with it. However, the new version definitely lacks the kind of emotional attachment the fans have with the diction and the tone of the OG song. Check out some hilarious reactions to the song.

Amitabh Bhattacharya, who penned down the Hindi lyrics of this track, has given some amazing songs earlier like Iktara, Manmarziyan, Abhi Mujhme Kahin, Kabira, Zehnaseeb, Mast Magan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to name a few. However, the lyrics of this song fail to strike the right chords with the audience, sadly. Earlier, even the Hindi version of 'Zingaat' got trolled by the fans. Let us hope that Bollywood filmmakers give us more original music as all we need is some original, new content that will make place in our hearts.
