Despite Race 3's Disappointment, Salman Khan Is On Board For Remo D'Souza's Dancing Dad, Confirms Director
Seeing how stiff Salman Khan was looking in the dance sequences of Race 3, don't blame us for not having much confidence in this one.
Race 3 has been quite a profitable venture for its producers, with the movie earning big in satellite rights and collecting more than Rs 150 crore at the box office. But considering this is a Salman Kham film, anything less than Rs 200 crore is considered as a disappointment. Moreover, Race 3 was slammed for being poorly directed, with some ridiculous plotting and terrible performances. Even Salman Khan fans didn't have much to defend it.
After such 'underwhelming' performance, we really didn't expect Salman Khan to team up with director Remo D'Souza again. Remember what happened with Salman and Kabir Khan after the disastrous Tubelight? However, a report in Mid-Day quotes Remo saying that they are teaming up again. The project will be the tentatively titled Dancing Dad, that had been earlier put on the backburner for Race 3.
Speaking to the publication, Remo revealed, "Salman sir and I don’t have any issues. We are collaborating on another project. I am currently working on my next film (the 4D dance film with Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif). Salman sir is busy with Bharat, after which he will start shooting for Dabangg 3. We will start work on the dance film after that."
