The reason behind filing the anticipatory bail application was her fear of getting arrested. During her last hearing at Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act court, her lawyer had assured that Karishma is willing to co-operate with the NCB in their investigation. She got involved in the ongoing investigation after NCB officials had allegedly seized 1.7 gm of hashish during a search at her residence here.
