Deepika Padukone is currently working on one of the most interesting projects of Bollywood. The actress has been cast to play an acid attack survivor in her upcoming film Chhapaak which is being directed by the uber-talented director, Meghna Gulzar. Deepika's first look in the film was recently released and it has received immense praises from her fans as well as industry folks. Deepika's character has been named Malti in the film and is inspired by the actual survivor Laxmi Agarwal. While the film has gone on the floors now, Deepika seems to be enjoying her work by going into 'study mode'.
The Padmaavat star took to Instagram sharing a picture of the script of the film along with a marker, ruler and an eraser. It almost reminded us of our school days when we would mark all those important passages in our textbook. Sharing the picture, Dippy wrote, "the only kinda homework I’ve ever enjoyed." Chhapaak also stars Mirzapur actor Vikrant Massey in a lead role. With this film, Deepika is also venturing into production. Earlier, we had also seen the team having their first reading session together. Vikrant, who will be seen portraying the social activist in the film, had previously expressed his excitement about working with the Piku star. Given that two of such fine actors are coming together for the film, we are expecting the film to turn out special.
