Deepika Padukone has proved once again why she is the real queen of Bollywood. In days, where actresses juggle multiple projects at once, DP gave her time, patience and trust to only one film which is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. Her presence was like a painting and her powerful dialogue delivery made her win fans' appreciation. Even other B- town celebs have become fan of her acting skills and one of them is veteran beauty Rekha. It was a dream come true for the Piku actress when Rekha gifted her a beautiful saree as a token of appreciation for her role of Rani Padmini.
A source close to the dimpled actress was quoted by Indian Express saying, "Deepika was elated to receive a handwritten note along with a gift from Rekhaji. It was a heart touching letter from the veteran actress who expressed her awe and appreciation towards Deepika’s performance in Padmaavat.”
Not only Rekha, but veteran actors and couple Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor too sent her a note for her Padmaavat stint. The flawless diva managed to impress the parents of her ex Ranbir Kapoor with the portrayal of the Rajput Queen's character. They sent the actress flowers and note that read, "Excellent work. So very proud of you... Love Neetu and Rishi Kapoor."
These gestures are always preferable than the shimmery awards and DP must have been elated to get them after putting in a massive amount of hard work. While interacting with media post the release of the period drama, the Cocktail girl said, " At this point I am not thinking about the last three months. The last three days have been so overwhelming that nothing else matters. I am in a mood to celebrate. I am grateful for all the love and support." Well, Ms Padukone deserves all the love that she is receiving right now, doesn't she?
