Deepika Padukone's first production Chhapaak may not have managed to make a mark at the box office, but everyone still hails her for being a brave stroyteller, actress and human being. That's one of the reasons why she was chosen as one of the Crystal Award winners at the Davos 2020 World Economic Forum. The actress was recently spotted at the airport and now we know she has left for the venue to receive the award. The winners will be honoured at the opening session of the Forum’s Annual Meeting 2020. Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Vidya Balan – Meet the Worst Dressed Celebs of this Week (View Pics)
Deepika Padukone has been honoured for her leadership in raising mental health awareness. Speaking about the award, the forum quoted her, "With more than 300 million people suffering with the illness, depression is the leading cause of ill health and disability in the world today and a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease. It is therefore increasingly clear that, now more than ever before, we need to aggressively address what is an invisible and overlooked health and social burden. I am humbled and deeply honoured to be chosen for this year's Crystal Award and dedicate the award to the millions around the world who experience stress, anxiety and depression, and other forms of mental illness."

And she confirms!
Deepika Padukone created history when she came out in the open regarding her fight with depression. It needs a lot of courage for an actress who is at the top of her game, to admit she underwent therapy for her condition. At least, in India it needs a lot of courage. Hence, Deepika is most deserving for that award.
