Deepika Padukone Cannot Part From Her Jauhar Outfit in Padmaavat, Here's Why

Deepika Padukone is right now on cloud nine, thanks to the enormous success she received with Padmaavat. The Bollywood diva is naturally overwhelmed with the response that she got for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama, especially the jauhar scene in the climax. The makers have been constantly mentioning the fact that how strenuous the entire shoot of the climax of this drama was and no one is really ready to let go off the feeling even now. In an interview to a leading daily, DP confessed that she wants to keep the outfit to herself that she wore during the jauhar, as a token of love and respect.

Talking to the daily, the Piku actress revealed, “Padmaavat, in its entirety, has been a journey that will stay with me forever. The climax sequence, especially, has been the most intense, challenging and memorable scene I have ever done. And to commemorate those moments, I’ve requested Sanjay sir if I could keep the outfit that I wore."

Truly, some scenes make place in the hearts of the makers more because of the emotional and physical involvement in its making rather than the output. This is what happened with the Jauhar scene. Earlier talking about this in an interview, SLB said, “It was scorching heat and we shot with 350 junior artistes. The physical discomfort was somehow bearable. But the challenge was more emotional than physical. By the end of the shooting of the Jauhar sequence, there were frayed nerves and rising tempers.”

No wonder, this movie and every bit related to it stays so close to the cast and crew of Padmaavat. There has been a lot of controversy over this film but by the end of the day, we must appreciate the hard work put in by everyone, right?
