After the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali helmed Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone is flooded by scripts. The dimpled actress has won the confidence of the filmmakers that she can carry a movie on her shoulders single handed. However, after working vigorously for the period drama for over a year, DP now has set some rules for herself, while choosing the scripts. Even though the 32-year-old diva has the capability of pulling off any period drama, she now decides to pick only light films as of now. After her previous time consuming project, she will now choose those films that have light but notable roles for her.

As per the reports in DNA, a source revealed, "Deepika, however, is having a tough time choosing the scripts because she doesn’t want to repeat her pre-Padmaavat masala film roles. She wants her new roles to be as big as the period drama, but they are difficult to come by."

The source further added, "Although filmmakers view her as a female actress who can carry a film on her shoulders, they want her male counterparts also to be equally strong. Besides, after the historical drama, Deepika is looking for a light, but substantial role in a film."

On the other hand, the star's next film with Vishal Bhardwaj, opposite Irrfan Khan has been put on a hold. Irrfan's rare diesease and Deepika's severe back pain are to be blamed! The Piku co-stars who were soon set to prep up for this much ambitious film, are now advised to take rest and now only time can decide when the flick can go on the floors. We hope that both the stars have a speedy recovery and resume work ASAP!
