And when today (March 25) morning, when the makers of Chhapaak released the actress’ look as Malti, fans and celebs are mighty impressed with Deepika’s incredible transformation. The film is helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the lady is who is known to make films based on true stories. In the past she has directed films such as Talvar and Raazi and they were a big hit at the box office. In an interview to Facebook, the actress mentioned how she wasn’t emotionally ready to do such a film and Deepika also revealed how she agreed to do the film. The actress was quoted saying, “Meghna walked into the office and took me through the story. In five minutes of speaking with her, I knew in my heart that this is what I wanted to do next. Something about Meghna herself, Laxmi’s story and Meghna’s conviction in this film... It was very similar to Piku.
