After delivering a blockbuster in the form of Total Dhamaal earlier this year, Ajay Devgn is now ready with his second outing De De Pyaar De which co-stars Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. The romantic drama, which is helmed by first time director Akiv Ali, is about a 50-year-old man who falls in love with a 26-year-old girl. But things go awry when the former's family, ex-wife, and kids disapprove the relationship. Will the rom-com beat Total Dhamaal by earning more than Rs 16.50 crore on day 1? Going by media reports and trade analysts, Ajay starrer won't break the opening day record of Total Dhamaal. However, the film could earn more than Student of the Year 2 did on its first day. But that will depend on the reviews that the film garners.
As per trade experts, De De Pyaar De should open around Rs 12 crore on day 1. Since Ajay has already given a hit this year, the expectations are quite high from this rom-com as well. Plus, the actor will be seen sharing screen space with Tabu which is another USP of Ali's debut directorial venture.
