2019 is turning out to be a good year for Ajay Devgn. After tasting box office success with Total Dhamaal, the actor is now entertaining the audience big time with his second outing of the year, De De Pyaar De. Co-starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh, the film came out last Friday and got off to a decent start. Over the first weekend, the romantic comedy performed even better and ended up with a pretty impressive figure. De De Pyaar De even passed the crucial Monday test and is now going rock steady at the Indian box office on weekdays. If it continues its good run then the Ajay starrer could even enter the Rs 100 crore club. De De Pyaar De Box Office Collection Day 5: Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet and Tabu's Rom-Com Trends Strongly on Weekdays, Rakes in Rs 50.83 Crore

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and announced the updated figures a while back. He wrote, "#DeDePyaarDe is super-strong... Biz in Weekend 2 - when it faces new movies - is crucial and will give an idea of its lifetime biz... Fri 10.41 cr [incl Thu previews], Sat 13.39 cr, Sun 14.74 cr, Mon 6.19 cr, Tue 6.10 cr, Wed 5.74 cr. Total: ₹ 56.57 cr. India biz. #DDPD."

Helmed by first-time director Akiv Ali and written by Luv Ranjan, De De Pyaar De received mixed reviews from the critics but that hasn't affected its performance at the box office at least till now. But with Arjun Kapoor's film India's Most Wanted releasing tomorrow, things will certainly heat up at the BO. De De Pyaar De Box Office Collection Day 4: Ajay Devgn and Tabu Starrer Fares Well on the Crucial Monday, Earns Rs 44.73 Crore

Currently, Karan Johar's production venture Student of the Year 2 featuring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria is also running in theatres. But the college drama is having a tough time sustaining itself at the ticket windows. In fact, it won't be surprising if the movie goes out of the cinema halls after a week or so.
