Ajay Devgn's De De Pyaar De has completed three weeks in theatres and now its all set to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office. Helmed by first time director Akiv Ali, the romantic comedy arrived in cinema halls on May 17 and took a good opening despite garnering mediocre reviews from the critics. Interestingly, the trade pundits had predicted that the film would do a lifetime business of around Rs 90 crore but De De Pyaar De has clearly outperformed at the ticket windows. After faring well over the third weekend, Ajay starrer continued to draw the audience at the cinema halls in the third week and minted Rs 1.15 crore on Wednesday and Thursday as well. As per BollywoodHungama, the total collection of De De Pyaar De as of now stands at Rs 97.01 crore which is fantastic.
Despite the release of Salman Khan's highly anticipated film Bharat, Devgn's rom-com is performing well at the box office and that's indeed commendable. Talking about the film racing towards the Rs 100 crore mark, film trade analyst Sumit Kadel wrote on his Twitter timeline, "Good news for AD Fans. #DeDePyaarDe is marching towards ₹ 100 cr nett business. De De Pyaar De, which is written by Luv Ranjan, also features Javed Jaffrey, Alok Nath and Sunny Singh in guest roles.
