Looks like team De De Pyaar De will soon have to throw a success bash as the rom-com is currently doing solid business at the domestic box office. Starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu in the lead, the film arrived in theatres on May 17 and garnered mixed reviews from the critics. While the movie witnessed a shaky start at the ticket windows, it certainly has struck a chord with the audience and hence is going steady at the box office. And if it continues to perform the same way in the coming days then it could very well enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club too. De De Pyaar De Box Office Collection Day 14: Ajay Devgn's Quirky Comedy Is Faring Well in the Metros, Earns Rs 84.49 Crore
According to BollywoodHungama, Akiv Ali's directorial debut collected Rs 1.96 crore on Friday, bringing its total fifteen-day collection to Rs 86.45 crore which is actually impressive. Since there is no competition at the box office, De De Pyaar De should definitely rake in more money on Sunday.
Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com has stated, "The film now has chances to emerge a HIT. It will depend on getting some screens post the release of Bharat and doing some decent business over the Eid period. The film had dropped 25% last week as two Hindi films released however bad they may have been. The fact is screen space is lost. This week it's a different scenario and a less competitive week as for the fight for screens and the film has held up very well." De De Pyaar De Box Office Collection Day 12: Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu's Rom-Com Performs Well on Tuesday, Continues to Mint Money
Though Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat will spice things up at the box office, Ajay's rom-com could have a fairly decent week at the ticket windows if it continues to stay steady in the week 3 as well.
