Ananya Panday's latest film, CTRL, is now available for streaming on Netflix. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and co-starring Vihaan Samat, the film follows the story of a seemingly perfect influencer couple, Nella and Joe, whose relationship is shattered when Joe cheats on Nella. Desperate to move on, Nella turns to an AI app that promises to erase Joe from her life. However, the app soon takes on a mind of its own, leading to unexpected consequences. While Ananya's performance has received praise from critics, the overall execution of CTRL has been met with blah reviews. Moviegoers have expressed disappointment with the film's plot development. ‘CTRL’ Movie Review: Vikramaditya Motwane’s Cyber-Thriller Starring Ananya Panday Loses Control of Its Own Potential (LatestLY Exclusive).

India Today: "If it isn’t clear by now, the film has a message: stop living your life online. CTRL seems to be a cautionary tale about the invasion of data privacy on social media and the dangers of AI. However, this endeavour is tedious and ultimately lacks any satisfying payoff."

Money Control: "Ananya as Nella does justice to her role. She shines particularly in the scenes which require her to be angry, After Call Me Bae, Panday has quickly emerged as a relatable face for many online GenZ folks. Vihaan Samat, who was also seen in Prime Video’s Call Me Bae opposite Panday, is convincing as the douchebag boyfriend, ‘the average Joe’. The sudden shift in his character is believable as Samat acting chops make it convincing." ‘CTRL’ Star Ananya Panday Calls for Government Action on AI Misuse Following Celebrity Deepfake Scandals.

Watch 'CTRL' Trailer:

HT: "CTRL overall passes off as a good, crisp, harmless watch, which wants to make you think. The thing is- content from across the world, courtesy the OTT boom in India in the last four years, has already dealt with similar themes. There's nothing here we haven't watched already."

Firstpost: "Though the idea of CTRL was good, it lacked the depth required for a topic relevant in today’s world. Definitely it’s an idea that not only the youngsters can resonate with, but all age groups. The film is about Nella (Ananya Panday) who is caught up in a world dominated by technology and social media. It is time we speak about the harmful effects of technology and how we have become slaves to them. We allow them to enter our lives and they start taking charge of us."

So, are you going to watch Ananya Panday's CTRL movie on Netflix after reading the above reviews?
