It was in July 2019 when the buzz started doing rounds that Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday are coming together for a film, which will be produced by Ali Abbas Zafar. It will be the first time that Ishaan and Ananya will be working together, and this project also happens to be Zafar’s maiden production. As per a report in a leading media daily, the film is titled Khaali Peeli and it is set to go on floors from September 11, 2019.

According to a report by BT, Khaali Peeli will be helmed by Maqbool Khan. Talking about this project Ali Abbas Zafar was quoted saying as, “Khaali Peeli’s process has been organic — Maqbool, Himanshu (Kishan Mehra, co-producer) and I worked on the script for almost a year, and when we felt that it was totally baked, we took it to this enthusiastic young cast. I am happy that the studio is producing this film with us, apart from the other project that we are working on. We will soon announce our next big collaboration as well.”

“We are delighted to partner with Ali as he commences his journey as a producer. This is the first of many. It’s such an exciting script with tremendously promising talent attached to the film. We sure have exciting times ahead,” said Shariq Patel, CEO, Zee Studios. We’ll have to wait for another year to watching the refreshing pair, Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday on the big screens.
