Children’s Day 2019 is around the corner and children can’t seem to wait for what is called ‘their day’. Children’s Day in India is celebrated in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Like every year, Children’s Day 2019 will be celebrated on November 14, which will fall on Thursday this year. The date marks the birth anniversary of former PM, who was known for his fondness, love, and affection for kids. It is the day to celebrate, go out and even watch some children movies with your kids. Children’s Day 2019 Special: 5 Best Kids Films From Hollywood to Watch on This Day.

In India, Children’s Day is also called as ‘Bal Divas’ or ‘Bal Diwas’. The day is dedicated to children where celebrations take place in a grandeur manner in schools, colleges, housing societies and other places.

Parents shower their kids with gifts and also hang out with them jubilantly. However, if this Children’s Day, you are planning to watch a movie with your kids, we at LatestLY bring you a list of best and emotional movies that you can watch on Bal Divas 2019.

Taare Zameen Par

One of the best movies (based on children) of all times, Taare Zameen Par can be on your watch list this Children’s Day. Aamir Khan – who was a producer, director, and an actor too – in this movie, has beautifully depicted the life of an 8-year-old dyslexic child. (The letters are dancing, remember?)

Koi… Mil Gaya

The story of an intellectually disabled kid (Hrithik Roshan) and his friends touched many hearts in the film Koi… Mil Gaya. Add an alien, some superpowers and a dash of comedy into the mix, and the Rakesh Roshan-directed movie turned out to be an out-and-out entertainer! (Krrish and Krrish 3 are other options available too, if you plan to binge-watch).
