Critics have shared the reviews of this comedy drama and have said that Chhichhore will take us on a nostalgic ride. Let’s take a look at the reviews shared by critics. Chhichhore Movie Review: Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor and Gang Are No ‘Losers’ in This Amusing, Heartwarming Nitesh Tiwari Film.
The Telegraph India - Friendship forms the bedrock of Chhichhore. The scene and setting — and many of its moods and moments — will instantly remind you of 3 Idiots, but Tiwari, who draws inspiration for the film from his own days spent studying engineering on the IIT Bombay campus, tempers Chhichhore with both humour and heart. This is an underdog story, a coming-of-age tale, a film about relationships and a lesson about life. But most of all, Chhichhore is a film that will tease a tear out of you as easily as it will make you bend over with belly laughs.
Times Of India - Shraddha Kapoor, packs in a solid performance both as the younger and older Maya. Sushant Singh Rajput shines as the young Anni (watch out for the scene where he goes tongue-tied in front of Maya!), however as the older Annirudh he seems a little uncomfortable. Chhichhore has a relevant message on the inherent attitude towards academic success and failure that will connect with many youngsters and parents of today. The film scores high on many accounts and is certainly worth watching.
Hindustan Times - An ode to college-time friendships, romances, ragging, fights, competitions and countless memories, Chhichhore is a riot of emotions, and takes you on a nostalgic ride. It’s a relevant film with a rather important message conveyed through an engaging narrative. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame, Chhichhore is high on content and humour packaged so well that it stays with you for a very long time.
