Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer college drama, Chhichhore is releasing this week on September 6. The film's trailers were full of nostalgia reminding everyone of their college days. Also starring in the lead are Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey and Saharsh Kumar Shukla. The film revolves around this gang of friends and runs in two timelines as we see them in their young as well as old avatars. The film seems to be a good mix of comedy and emotional drama and we bet many of you are waiting to catch the film. After spelling her magic in Saaho, this is Shraddha's second release in the gap of a week. While Saaho is minting money at the box office, it looks like the actress' second release too is going to have a great buzz. Early reviews of the film are now out and it looks like the film's emotional quotient has won over a few critics. The first reviews of the film suggest that it has something to offer for everyone and may connect well with the audiences. On Teachers' Day, Sushant Singh Rajput Shares Pic With Chhichhore Director Nitesh Tiwari; Here's What The Actor Had To Say To His Favourite Guru.
Mid-Day (4/5): Giving the film a solid four stars, they wrote, "Chhichhore is the sort of film that we can all add to, with our own versions of the same story — a user-generated series, if you like. This has the makings of one. You've probably navigated the same rite of passage — from ragging to enrichment, through deep bonds/friendships that last forever. Speaking about the performances, they wrote, "They collectively shine, without doubt."
Times Of India (3.5/5): "Shraddha Kapoor, packs in a solid performance both as the younger and older Maya. Sushant Singh Rajput shines as the young Anni (watch out for the scene where he goes tongue-tied in front of Maya!), however as the older Annirudh he seems a little uncomfortable. In fact, as the young lot – the performances are consistent - Varun Sharma steals the show in many of the scenes with his comic timing." As the final thoughts, they wrote, "Chhichhore’ has a relevant message on the inherent attitude towards academic success and failure that will connect with many youngsters and parents of today. The film scores on many accounts and is certainly worth watching."
