Speaking about the film, LatestLY's reviewer Sreeju Sudhakaran wrote 'Don't go by the film's very unassuming promotions. Chhichhore is no Dangal, and it never even aims to be that. Instead what Chhichhore promises is to be a fun, feel-good, nostalgic ride that pays ode to friendship and love'. Despite opening in 1,200 to 1,300 screens, Chhichhore turned out to be unaffected at the box-office clashing against Saaho and Dream Girl. The film is bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala and also stars Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty and Tushar Pandey in supporting roles.
