It was only yesterday that writer of Alia Bhatt's Raazi adaptation, Calling Sehmat, Harinder Sikka had accused director Meghna Gulzar of trying to take away all the credit for Raazi, by delaying his book launch, getting him off the list for the Jaipur Literature Fest and also by getting him off the list of Filmfare Awards for the Best Story category. And now, writer Chetan Bhagat has also made some startling revelations about how he too was a victim of a similar incident. In a scathing tweet as a reply to film critic Anupama Chopra, Chetan Bhagat lashed out at her husband and filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra for trying to discredit Bhagat of his story while making 3 Idiots. Ma'am, when your husband publicly bullied me, shamelessly collected all the best story awards, tried denying me credit for my story and drove me close to suicide, and you just watched, where was your discourse? https://t.co/CeVDT2oq47

It all started with Chetan tweeting about how now that late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's last movie Dil Bechara will be releasing online, film critics, who in Bhagat's opinion had 'ruined enough lives' should 'be fair and sensible.' To this Chopra gave her 2 cents and that's when Chetan lashed out at her. Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide Case: Film Critic Rajeev Masand Summoned by Mumbai Police For Questioning.

As per Chetan's claims, Vidhu not only publicly humiliated Bhagat but also drove the writer 'close to suicide' while Anupama 'watched' from the sidelines. These accusations come shortly after the Bollywood Lobby or Mafia has been accused of not providing industry outsiders with fair amounts of opportunities otherwise enjoyed by B-Town's star kids. All of this debate kickstarted after Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide at his Bandra home on June 14 and was reportedly suffering from depression. The reason for his delicate mental state was said to be nepotism and B-Town biggies were accused of trying to sabotage Rajput's career.
