Emraan Hashmi, who was last seen in last year's Baadshaho, has given 2018 a miss when it comes to his big screen Bollywood appearances. Instead, he will be seen next on the big screen in Cheat India that is scheduled to release on January 25, 2019 (his much delayed international film, Tigers, will premiere on Zee5 on November 21). So it is imperative that when the country celebrates National Education Day on November 11, the Cheat India team has something to add here. The makers have revealed a quirky logo video of the film, that starts of with words 'Teach India' appear on the screen, before the letters in the word 'Teach' arranges themselves to form the word 'Cheat', thus making the movie's title!  Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India Teaser Poster Is All About the Corruption in Our Education System.

Cheat India, directed by Soumik Sen and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Atul Kasbekar, also stars model Shreya Dhanwanthary as the female lead. The movie ran into a couple of controversies recently. First Delhi-based director accused the makers of plagiarising his film, Marksheet. Secondly, Soumik Sen and Atul Kasbekar were accused by an anonymous actress of sexual misconduct in the recent #MeTooinIndia movement. Kasbekar's production house issued a statement, saying that, "While we support the #MeToo movement in India, we urge for people to be wary of unsubstantiated allegations, particularly anonymous ones which could be mischievously made with ulterior motives."
