Bollywood and Holi go hand in hand, without much saying! Since years together, generations of B- town fans have been witnessing how Bollywood stars love to dip into the colourful vibe of this auspicious day. As years passed, the method of rejoicing changed, but the energy and the enthusiasm remained the same. However, the Holi parties, in the age of no-social media were entirely different. The Kapoors, Kumars and Khans came out of their on- screen characters and bathed in the lively ambiance of the festival like there’s no tomorrow. Naturally, there was curiosity around these parties, as to how these tinsel town biggies transcended from being stars to common people and celebrated Holi amongst themselves. Like I said, there was no social media mess then and hence these rare throwback photos that circulated later, are few of the gems from this treasure. Check them out:

The parameters of the Holi celebration in 2018 are so, so different than those of the earlier days. The stars now make it a point to put up a mandatory holi selfie to let the fans know how they are making up to the day. In the age where we quite literally have access to celebs’ personal festival moments, these throwback flashes make us crave for less of a social- media- hyped and more of a human- touched Holi again!
