Bollywood Actress Molestation Case: Businessman Vikas Sachdeva charged Under POCSO for touching child actor in 2017

A popular child actress had raised her voice against a co-passenger in the flight for allegedly touching her inappropriately.

A popular child actress had raised her voice against a co-passenger in the flight for allegedly touching her inappropriately. Identified as Vikas Sachdeva, the accused has been charged with molestation case that happened in December 2017. A charge sheet has been filed by Sahar Police before the Dindoshi Court in Mumbai against the Sachdeva. The 39-year-old man was arrested by under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code. However, he was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 25,000.

After the incident, the young actress had shared the narration on the social media. She was quoted saying that the accused person who reportedly was seated behind her in the flight, moved his foot up and down her neck and back. The video soon went viral and many came out in the support of the award-winner girl.

However, Sachdeva's lawyer had argued that the actress did not raise an alarm and call the cabin crew, making it an after-thought. Sachdeva also claimed that he was tired after returning from a funeral and that he was asleep, unaware about any such thing happened. However, after several months he has been charged for the alleged crime and the proceedings further will decide about his fate regarding this case.
