Bollywood's heartthrob, Ranbir Kapoor, turns 37 today. It is like he has been the national crush for eternity now. The Ranbir-fever has not only been because of his drool-worthy boyish charm and puppy-eyed look, but also because of his excellent performances. He took two movies to find his footing in Bollywood, but once he found his voice, there was no looking back for him. Over the years, the actor has given us several iconic moments onscreen. Even in Saawariya, which was far away from a perfect film, he managed to give us a few scenes to remember him by. As a token of our love for the birthday boy, we are going to list down a w of his most iconic scenes, starting from Saawariya.

In the coming years, we can look forward to Brahmastra and Shamshera for Ranbir to entertain us. In the past, we have these iconic scenes.

The Saawariya Towel Drop

Ranbir dropped into the hearts of his fans with this towel drop. Jab Se Tere Naina song from his debut film, Saawariya, featured the actor in nothing but a towel covering him. At one point, he drops the towel. Thanks to CBFC, we don't get to see much, but sometimes it is better to leave things to the imagination.

Channa Mereya in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

What is with Ranbir giving his best performances in songs? He chews the scenery as he portrays a guy whose is heart is in the process of breaking apart. Arijit Singh's soulful voice gives this song an edge.

Sanju's Toilet Scene

The scene was cut from the movie after objection from the police and CBFC. But it was available to watch in the trailer. Ranbir plays Sanjay Dutt locked up in a cell where the yellow water begins to overflow from the commode. Ranbir portrays helplessness so perfectly.

Barfi's Chase Scene

This scene is an ode to the awesomeness of Charlie Chaplin. Ranbir perfectly encapsulates the vibe. And no, this is not a copy of the scene but a very intentional homage by Anurag Basu, who has grown up watching movies of Chaplin.

Bas Rukna Nahi Chahta in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

A rather simple scene but it all heart if you think about it. Ranbir on the top of the world with the love of his life. But he talks about how he doesn't want to slow down. The angst that many of us go through in life.

Agar Tum Saath Ho from Tamasha

The performances of Ranbir and Deepika Padukone in this scene is a masterclass in acting. The two feed off each others' energies in this song and the scene preceding it. If Ranbir's towel drop can give you butterflies in the stomach, Agar Tum Saath Ho can break your heart.

So, which is your favourite on-screen moment featuring Ranbir Kapoor? We know we have not covered all of them. Is your favourite Ranbir Kapoor scene outside of this list?
