It was a couple of minutes before we informed you about Vicky Kaushal's collaboration with Karan Johar for a horror drama. Titled Bhoot-Part One: The Haunted Ship, the movie is based on true incidents and marks Dharma Productions' debut into this genre. While a lot was spoken about Karan's next venture, here comes its first look that's as terrifying as it can be. Vicky is stranded on a ship that's possessed by a ghost and his terrified face will send chills down your spine. The movie revolves around a stranded ship and Dhadak director, Shashank Khaitan marks his debut as a producer with this project. Speaking about his experience as a producer, Shashank in his interaction with DNA said, “Karan loved it. Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship is based on a true incident that took place in Bombay. Meanwhile, the title is very similar to Ram Gopal Varma's Bhoot that starred Ajay Devgn and Urmila Matondkar. Though Karan was adamant on getting the same title for his next project, he believed RGV wouldn't let go of it so easily. However, much to his surprise, the Company director was very accommodating. Leaving aside their past differences he willingly gave away the title and Karan would be forever grateful to him. It's a space that's not associated with Dharma Productions. However, the filmmaker plans to expand his horizon and turn it into a franchise instead. In that case, let's keep hoping for many more horror dramas that are thrilling and scary af.
