After making his big screen debut with 2016's Mirzya, Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan returns to the big screen with Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. Directed by the acclaimed film-maker Vikramaditya Motwane, the movie has Harshvardhan play a vigilante who wants to punish the corrupt in the city and want to avenge the injustice meted to his friends. Our movie critic, Sreeju Sudhakaran, is currently watching the movie and this is his first impression about Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
A group of friends wants to do good for the country and starts with the city, inspired by superhero lore. Perhaps taking a page out of the Ungli gang, they take down minor corrupt officials and post videos of the same. However, when they cross paths with the villain played by Nishikant Kamat, shit hits the ceiling. It is upto Bhavesh Joshi to now take on the sole crusader act and take on the enemies.
The first half is all about how Joshi and co are inspired by the Lokpal movement to fight against corruption and later how the hero moves away from the crusade when he is disillusioned by the fact that things haven't changed in 5 years. It's only at the interval point that he becomes Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
There is still a lot to watch and say about this movie, so check out our website for the complete review of Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
