Salman Khan's newest release Bharat has only impressed the audience in India but overseas as well. We say so because the period drama, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, is not only the second highest Bollywood grossing film of this year but also worldwide. Yes, you heard that right. While Salman, Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani starrer is second on the list, the highest worldwide grosser of 2019 till now is Vicky Kaushal's Uri - The Surgical Strike. Coming back to Bharat, the Eid release has so far grossed Rs 250 crore at the worldwide box office and will continue to mint money in the coming days. Announcing the good news on popular microblogging site Twitter, Bharat producer Atul Agnihotri yesterday tweeted, "Bharat takes the world by Storm by recording a Gross Worldwide Box-Office Collection of 250 Crores and counting...#BharatCrosses250Crores."
Talking about the domestic box office, Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial venture has minted Rs 167.60 crore till now and is going steady at the ticket windows. The film is also Salman's biggest opener ever as it raked in Rs 42.30 crore on day 1. Interestingly, Bharat is Salman's third collaboration with Zafar and the duo have only tasted success at the box office which is commendable. Earlier, they worked together in Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. As for Katrina, it's her sixth outing with Khan and technically ninth considering all their cameos in each other's films.
